I have always loved weddings and when I planned my wedding almost fourteen years ago I enjoyed reading about other bride’s journeys and how they incorporated their cultural traditions into their weddings. At the time I had considered putting together a book about the various traditions. I even considered getting a job with a wedding planner so I could get more exposure to various wedding traditions. Now fourteen years later, I have taken several extension courses at our State University on event planning and my niece just got engaged. While  I am not planning my niece’s wedding, I do plan to help her and her Mom as they plan the wedding. And so I thought I would start this blog to document the Wedding Journey or, as I refer to it, the Butterflies and Moonbeams associated with the journey, from my perspective.  I hope you enjoy my blog!
